About Yaba
Yaba is Lagos's tech neighbourhood. Co-Creation Hub, dozens of startups, and the city's densest concentration of fibre internet all sit within a square kilometre around Commercial Avenue.
The practical reality is that Yaba is on the mainland, which means island access is a 30–40 minute drive in normal traffic. If your reason for being in Lagos is on the island, Yaba is not your base. If your reason is Yaba itself, it is ideal.
Accommodation in Yaba is good value by Lagos standards and the neighbourhood is safe and navigable on foot during the day.

Getting here from the airport
Roughly 30–45 minutes outside peak. Allow 75 minutes if you land between 4pm and 8pm on a weekday.
Murtala Muhammed International to Ikeja
Leave the international terminal and join the airport road towards Oshodi. Dual carriageway the whole way, resurfaced and well lit.
Ikeja to Yaba
Head south from Ikeja through Mushin and into Yaba. Road quality on the main routes is reasonable; side streets are mixed.

12 min from LOS. On Herbert Macaulay Way, Yaba.
