Placeholder — not yet legal text

The structure below is correct, but the wording is placeholder. A qualified lawyer must supply the operative terms, including the contracting entity, governing law and jurisdiction, and the split of responsibilities between CheckinBliss, property owners, and guests. Do not publish as-is.

1.About these terms

These terms govern your use of CheckinBliss and form a legal agreement between you and [contracting entity].

Lawyer to name the contracting entity and describe how acceptance is formed.

2.Who can book

Bookings are made in international currency using internationally issued cards, consistent with our focus on the diaspora.

Lawyer to confirm eligibility, minimum age, and any capacity requirements.

3.Bookings & payment

Apartments are priced and charged in US dollars. Your card is charged in full at the time of booking, and your booking is confirmed immediately.

Lawyer to align with the live payment flow (Stripe collection, Raenest disbursement) and confirm when a contract for a stay is formed.

4.Cancellations & refunds

Cancel seven or more days before check-in for a full refund, including all fees. Cancellations within seven days are non-refundable. Full details are set out in our Policies.

Lawyer to ensure these terms match the Policies page exactly and are enforceable in the relevant jurisdiction.

5.Card storage & damage

No security deposit is charged. At booking, your payment card is stored securely by our payment provider, Stripe. The stored card may only be charged for damage costs agreed to by the guest following the process set out in our Policies. No charge is made without the guest's explicit agreement to the amount.

Lawyer to draft the operative clause. Three questions require answers: enforceability of a card-on-file damage mechanism against a UK consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015; which entity is the contracting party and which law governs a dispute given the properties are in Nigeria; and confirmation that nothing in this clause could be construed as insurance.

6.Your responsibilities as a guest

Guests agree to respect the house rules for each apartment, including no unregistered guests, no parties or events, and quiet hours.

Lawyer to set out prohibited conduct, damage liability, and consequences of breach.

7.Property owners

Apartments are provided by property owners who agree to our standard and to keeping calendars accurate.

Lawyer to define the owner relationship, commission (12%), payout terms, and where owner obligations sit versus CheckinBliss.

8.Our role & liability

CheckinBliss curates, verifies, and mediates stays. If an apartment cannot honour a confirmed booking, we relocate you to a comparable stay or refund you in full.

Critical: lawyer to define CheckinBliss's role (agent vs principal), limits of liability, and indemnities. This clause carries the most risk.

9.Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [jurisdiction].

Lawyer to set governing law and jurisdiction, accounting for the UK and Nigerian entities and cross-border guests.
