Cancellation
CheckinBliss accepts bookings from 24 hours to 12 months in advance. Cancellation terms are structured in three tiers based on how far ahead you book — longer planning horizons carry longer free cancellation windows, because more can change between a booking made a year out and one made last week. This is standard practice across premium hospitality.
Your exact cancellation policy is shown at checkout before you confirm — calculated from the days between your booking date and check-in date, and fixed at that moment. Not a reference to general terms: specific dates, specific deadlines, for your reservation.

The booking window is capped firmly at 12 months. For dates beyond that, contact the CheckinBliss team directly.
Payment is collected in full at booking — a single charge at the moment you confirm. There is no deposit now, balance later model.
For bookings made more than six months ahead, we ask the property owner to confirm availability by WhatsApp within 48 hours. You will be notified once that step is complete.
Refunds are processed within three business days. The time to appear on your statement depends on your card issuer — typically five to ten days for internationally issued cards.
No security deposit
We don't take a security deposit. No hold on your card, no cash at the door, nothing to claim back. Every home on CheckinBliss earns its place against the Bliss Standard before it is listed — that curation is what makes this possible.
When you book, your card is stored securely by Stripe. We keep it on file for one reason only: if something is damaged during your stay and you agree to cover the cost, we can settle without asking you to make a separate payment.
We will never charge your card for damage without your agreement to the amount.
Wear and tear is never charged for. A marked bedsheet, a scuff on a wall, a worn cushion — these are our cost, not yours. What we would ask you to cover is damage or loss beyond ordinary use: a broken appliance, furniture damaged past repair, something missing from the property, or cleaning well beyond a normal turnaround.
If damage is reported after checkout, the property team has 48 hours to raise it with photographs. Our team reviews the evidence within five days and may reduce or reject the claim entirely. If we contact you, you have seven days to accept, propose a different amount, or dispute it. If you dispute, nothing is charged while we work it out. If you don't reply, nothing is charged — your silence is not treated as agreement.
Changing your dates
Date changes can be accommodated where the apartment's calendar allows, provided the request is made before your free cancellation deadline — the specific date shown at checkout when you confirmed. Requests made after that deadline fall under the cancellation terms for your booking tier.
No-shows
A no-show is treated as a cancellation within seven days of check-in and is non-refundable. If your plans change, tell us — a cancellation in time is always better than silence.
If a property becomes unavailable
On the rare occasion an apartment cannot honour a confirmed booking, we relocate you to a comparable stay at no additional cost, or refund you in full including all fees. The promise runs both ways.
House rules
Every apartment is someone's home, held to a standard. We ask guests to respect a few constants: no unregistered guests, no parties or events, and quiet after hours. Individual apartments may carry their own notes on smoking, pets, or access — these are shown clearly before you book.
Breach of these terms may result in a damage claim or, in serious cases, the end of your stay.
Check-in & check-out
Standard check-in is from 3:00 PM; check-out is by 11:00 AM. Early arrival and late departure can sometimes be arranged, subject to the apartment's schedule. Every handover is personally mediated — you will never be left at a door without answers.
Who can book
CheckinBliss is built for the diaspora. Bookings are made in international currency using internationally issued cards. This keeps pricing honest and consistent for the people we serve.
Raising an issue
If something isn't right during your stay, tell us at once. We respond within twenty-four hours and work to resolve it while you're still there — because a stay put right in the moment is worth more than an apology after.
Force majeure
In the event of circumstances beyond reasonable control — natural disaster, civil disruption, or travel restriction — we work with you directly to find a fair outcome, which may fall outside the standard cancellation terms. Fairness guides these rare cases, not fine print.
