Late checkout
Stay until 6:00pm on your departure day rather than 11:00am. Useful when your flight leaves late and you would rather not spend the afternoon at the airport. We confirm availability against the following booking, so request it as early as you can.
Something else
Airport pickup, a stocked fridge on arrival, a cot, a driver for the week. Tell us what you need and we will tell you honestly whether we can arrange it.
About Surulere
Surulere is old Lagos — the Lagos that predates the island and still operates on its own terms. It is a densely packed residential neighbourhood on the mainland, known for its markets, its music venues, and the National Stadium.
It is not a neighbourhood for business travellers. It is a neighbourhood for people who want to understand Lagos rather than manage it. Street food is excellent. The noise is real. The energy is a version of the city that the island has largely smoothed away.
If you stay in Surulere and are headed to Victoria Island, allow forty-five minutes by car and longer in the evening.
Where you will be
The apartment and Murtala Muhammed International (LOS), so you can see the journey before you land.
- Surulere Attic Loft, Surulere
- Murtala Muhammed International (LOS)
Getting here from the airport
Roughly 35–50 minutes outside peak. Allow 90 minutes if you land between 4pm and 8pm on a weekday.
Murtala Muhammed International to Ikeja
Leave the international terminal and join the airport road towards Oshodi. Dual carriageway the whole way, resurfaced and well lit.
Ikeja to Surulere
Head south from Oshodi through Mushin and into Surulere. This stretch is at its worst during morning and evening rush hours. Road quality is mixed — main roads are sound, side streets less so.
Final approach to the apartment
20 min from LOS. On Bode Thomas Street, Surulere.
