Airport pickup, a stocked fridge on arrival, a cot, a driver for the week. Tell us what you need and we will tell you honestly whether we can arrange it.
About Ikoyi
Ikoyi is Lagos at its quietest. Wide, tree-lined streets, older colonial buildings set back behind high walls, and a pace that feels deliberately unhurried. It is primarily residential, home to embassies, diplomats, and the city's old money.
The practical upside is calm. Road noise is minimal outside rush hour, the streets are clean by Lagos standards, and you are never more than fifteen minutes from Victoria Island's restaurants and offices. Keffi Street and Awolowo Road are where eating and drinking happen.
For a first-time visitor Ikoyi can feel slow. For anyone who knows Lagos — or who simply wants to sleep without street noise — it is the right choice.
Where you will be
The apartment and Murtala Muhammed International (LOS), so you can see the journey before you land.
- Awolowo Residence, Ikoyi
- Murtala Muhammed International (LOS)
Getting here from the airport
Roughly 50–70 minutes outside peak. Allow two hours if you land between 4pm and 8pm on a weekday.
Murtala Muhammed International to Ikeja
Leave the international terminal and join the airport road towards Oshodi. Dual carriageway the whole way, resurfaced and well lit.
Ikeja to Third Mainland Bridge
Through Oshodi and onto the bridge approach. This is the stretch that determines your journey time — free-flowing at midday, slow from mid-afternoon. Surface is sound but uneven in places.
Third Mainland Bridge to Ikoyi
The long crossing over the lagoon. Well maintained and fast once you are on it. Lighting is good across the span, with a short unlit section near the Adekunle exit.
Final approach to the apartment
18 min from LOS. Off Awolowo Road, Ikoyi.
